Sotogrande and San Pedro
The Sunday School is available every Sunday. Children of all ages are welcome and we are happy for parents to join us if they wish. The layout of the building allows us to be close by, so we can return briefly during communion to approach the altar together for a blessing or for children to join their families during communion. After this, we tidy up and prepare to share with the congregation the activities and the main themes of our session at the end of the service.
The Sunday School session begins with prayer and the activities are usually based on the Gospel reading. We have several versions of children’s Bibles, as well as referring to the NIV Bible with older children. We are well resourced through donations and the activities are varied including science, stories, games, discussions and, of course, arts and crafts. These activities are adjusted to children’s ages and are completed within the session so that we can cater for visiting families who are only with us for one week.
Sotogrande Sunday School meets normally every Sunday during the year, except during the holiday season, so please double-check with us. We love to welcome new children of any age and the parents are also welcome to join us.
We follow the Church of England and Methodist Chruch reading curriculum, and our main resource for the classes are taken from https://www.rootsontheweb.com/ The idea is that you and your children can keep on talking about the lesson/sermon at home if you like and it is important for you. Of course, we adapt the lesson to the different ages and try to increase their interest with games, crafts, videos, songs, etc.
Our aim is to show the children the love of God and His care for them in every aspect of their life.
