Ministry Team
Gathering in Purpose
Ecumenical Ministry
We work closely with the Methodist church who provide a monthly methodist service at Sotogrande. We have built close links to other denominations, with a joint Christmas Eve service and Easter Friday walk.
Children Ministry
Children are an important part of our community whether being baptised, at Sunday school, Messy Church or involved in services.
Music Ministry
Music is central to worship. With singing groups at both worship centres and involvement in concerts, there are many opportunities to share and enjoy music.
Reporting to the Chaplaincy Council, the Ministry Team helps to provide a vision for the Chaplaincy, arrange the worship, to develop and plan courses for discipleship and growing in faith. It seeks to discern God’s plan for the mission, spirituality and direction of the Chaplaincy. The team is not about ‘doing’ ministry so much as planning and enabling ministry – ensuring that all points are covered within the resources of the Chaplaincy. It provides an underpinning spirituality to our Chaplaincy.
The Team members have been nominated (without them knowing) by multiple members of the congregation and then appointed by the Chaplain who will aim to have a team with equal numbers from each church and representing all ages, needs and talents. In a real sense, they are “called out” to serve, by the church. They are on the team for a maximum of five years and are commissioned to the work. The team includes representatives of the children ministry, music, prayer groups and Methodists.
