In all our dealing with people, we endeavour to follow the principles and guidelines laid down by the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) as documented on their website

In practice, here in the Church on the Costa del Sol (West), this means 

  • We will only hold data about you that is necessary for the purpose it has been recorded. The reasons for each list or collection of data that is maintained by the Church will be recorded
  • If you no longer wish us to hold this information, then we will delete it promptly from our records
  • We will endeavour to ensure that it is accurate and reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that it remains up to date
  • We will not share your data with anyone outside of the Church without your permission and only share it within the Church with those who need it to fulfil an approved role within the Church
  • As a Church, we will put in place procedures and processes to record and maintain this data in accordance with the GDPR legislation in the UK and the ICO principles
