Our Everyday Faith Prayer connects Sunday’s theme with daily life in a simple, accessible way. You can find the latest prayer here:
Pilgrim Tales
"Which tale is our life imitating at this time of our lives?" Humans learn through imitation. We copy what we see around us. This is apparent with children and young adults who reproduce patterns of behaviour that they observe in families, school peer groups, and popular icons. The traits that we adopt are often the ones which we admire and value in others, and this learning process is what we call education or formation.
Faith’s Intention
What is your intention in faith? In each act of faith there is an intention, just as in each deliberate action that we do. When we intend to do something, when we act, there is an objective in mind. It is the same in faith. But what is it? What are we looking for in our acts of faith?
The Trinity
The doctrine of the Trinity enables the Christian to believe, pray and celebrate the revelation of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Ascension of the Lord
What does it mean for us that the crucified and risen Lord Jesus ascended into heaven? The meaning of the ascension of the Lord is closely tied to the feast of Pentecost, the descent of the Holy Spirit, which we will celebrate next Sunday. It signifies the new presence of the messiah to a universal community.
Faith on Trial
If you were put on trial for being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict you? This saying, often used to convey the idea that being a Christian requires a certain level of evidence in real life, is taken from the biblical motif that following the Lord involves a costly confrontation with worldly powers and alternative ideas.
Church building
When we reflect in the light of the scriptures on how a Christian community grows it is necessary to pattern our work for this on that of the building of the spiritual house .
The uniqueness of Jesus
Jesus is the shepherd; the gate through whom we enter to join the community of those who are being saved
On the Way to Life
How is Jesus present to us now and what does this mean for the life of the church?
Jesus of The Scars
In this season of Easter we too need to be reassured and energised by the presence of Christ
The Reading of The Passion
At the start of Holy Week, Palm Sunday, we read the story of The Passion.
