"Hate, at the heart of this kind of sin, is not negated by bombing, by punishment or some eye for an eye revenge. It is negated by the love of a tortured and crucified God coming into a room and wishing peace on those who were quite prepared to run off when he is arrested. The darkness of sin is only overcome by a change of minds, by love, trust and forgiveness - and not just at the personal level but particularly at the national level too."

Music

We are extraordinarily fortunate to have good music at both the San Pedro and Sotogrande Churches.  San Pedro has three organists on rota plus a guitar/keyboard duo from time to time.  The communion at San Pedro is usually a sung Eucharist with a small choir who sing during the communion.  You may not be familiar with the sung responses in the Eucharist but singing is not at all mandatory!  Just let the music flow.

Sotogrande church is the home to the CAMERATA choir who practice there.  The domed ceiling is sometimes difficult for speaking voices to be heard but music reverberates around the building adding a gravitas to the harmonies.  A Sunday choir helps the singing in worship and from time to time the choirs of Sotogrande International School sing with us and perform their material in the context of worship.  The church is also fortunate to have good accompanists to the hymn and song singing.

Music is something we want to grow and develop.  A youth band to lead some popular new Christian music would be excellent.  New recruits to the choirs would be most welcome - just come along and make yourself known.  Music is a joy.
