"Hate, at the heart of this kind of sin, is not negated by bombing, by punishment or some eye for an eye revenge. It is negated by the love of a tortured and crucified God coming into a room and wishing peace on those who were quite prepared to run off when he is arrested. The darkness of sin is only overcome by a change of minds, by love, trust and forgiveness - and not just at the personal level but particularly at the national level too."

Children

We welcome children. We are committed to children being an equal part, with adults, of our worshiping community. We hold Sunday School most weeks at the same time as the church worship so that children are doing their own activities, usually in a church room, whilst parents are in church. There is a carpeted child play area in the church. If children make lots of noise, whilst we don't overtly encourage it, this is a family church and we want children to participate in the joy!

We take child and adult protection extremely seriously and are active in ensuring that all our workers with children and adults are fully checked through the UK and Spanish protection schemes. Our leaders undertake two levels of training to ensure that we are aware of the issues and can spot and address any abuse of any type immediately.

The church has its own safeguarding officer, Malcolm Young, picture below, who is also the safeguarding trainer for this archdeaconry.
